CS Nielsen har netop udgivet karrierens tredje studiealbum ‘Jericho Road’ på Songcrafter, og for at gøre alle udgivelser tilgængelige digitalt, bliver album nr. to ‘Man of the Fall’ nu også udgivet samme sted.
Da ‘Man of the Fall’ blev udgivet i 2012 undlod CS Nielsens daværende pladeselskab at udgive albummet digitalt. Det skete som en protest mod digitaliseringen af musikområdet og den deraf følgende forarmelse af dem, der skabte værkerne.
Men nu vil CS Nielsen gerne have alle tre anmelderroster plader tilgængelige på Spotify, Wimp, iTunes etc., og derfor udgives ‘Man of the Fall’ altså digitalt her fire år efter.
CS Nielsen har en række “die-hard” fans, og som en særlig hilsen til dem – og med et glimt i øjet – udkommer pladen derfor den 24.12.

Pressemeddelelse ‘Man of the Fall’ (på engelsk):
With his critically acclaimed and award nominated debut album Against the Dying of the Light from 2007, CS Nielsen managed to establish himself as a remarkable singer/songwriter and a significant Danish ambassador for the living Americana/roots/country/folk music traditions. In January 2012 CS Nielsen released his second album Man of the Fall.
CS Nielsen was born in 1977 on the small Danish island Samsø, and has been a professional musician since the 1990s. Throughout his life and work he has been attracted to the tales, poetry, paradoxes and mysteries of life. Not least on the 13 songs on his new album. The lyrics weave together mythological and deeply personal levels of meaning – with both pathos and humor. The title track Man of the Fall is, in a sense, an ode to autumn as a fundamental human condition (I’m a man of the fall/The whole year around”), and the other songs deal with such themes as longing and loss, responsibility, doubt, faith, hope and love, the road, death, the impossible homecoming, memory and other existentials – ”Well, I can’t help it, Mama/I just ain’t got no answers/In fact a few good questions are the only truth I know” (from the song Miles to Go).
The stark, predominantly acoustic arrangements are centered around CS Nielsen’s lead vocals, guitar and occasional harmonica. A handful of accompanying musicians contribute with talented touches of harmony vocals, dobro, fiddle, banjo, electric guitar, Fender bass IV, accordion, mandolin, lap steel, national guitar, piano and percussion. The album is co-produced by CS Nielsen and roots music authority Jesper Folke Olsen.
